Finally! At long last...we began to see more consistent king salmon catches in Eastern Lake Ontario this past weekend. Your best bets
were out in front of Sandy Pond, north and south of Sandy and Stony Creeks in 90-140 feet of water, west off the finger, Stony
Point wall, the trench and Calf Island shelf. Northern Kings and Michigan stingers in black-silver-green, black-silver-purple,
blue-silver, chartreuse-red-silver and silver-green all worked well. Also, while we are unable to provide cut bait,
whole herrings can work equally well. Simply filet them or use them whole for best results. Bass fishing
was also strong this past weekend, with nice ones over four pounds being caught. Try the high rocks, Stony Island, Calf
Island spit, Galloo Island, the gas buoy, Chaumont Bay and Gull Island for smallmouths. Soft shell crab production has begun
to slow down, but we have plenty of minnows you can use for live bait. Lake trout, brown trout and perch fishing
remained good in the usual spots with the usual baits. Walleye have begun to pick up as well. Best
lures were fried chicken, cheap sunglasses, grey ghost, pearl, copper and blue made by reef Runner. Black-gold, black-silver
and blue prism Thundersticks and Bombers also worked well. Best depths were 40-100 feet of water off Calf Island spit. This report is in conjunction with information supplied by Bob Dick of Moby Dick Charters, http://mobydickcharters.com .

Eastern Lake Ontario Fishing Report UpdateWe received an e-mail reminding us that we haven't updated this report in a few weeks. Can't believe
how fast this summer is going! No one can remember a year when salmon has run this late. We are seeing some
of the charters bring in some kings, but mostly not in large numbers. Salmon have been marked in the trench, off the
finger, in front of Sandy Pond, south of Galloo Island and in the shipping lanes. One angler did bring in a 32-pounder
this past Saturday, which placed him second in the salmon division of the LOC Fall Tournament. heck the leaderboard
on the LOC site to see if this placement still stands. Lake trout fishing continues to be consistent, and many
nice browns are being caught (some using salmon fishing techniques). Stick with tried and true lures and colors. Walleye fishing has picked up a little recently around Big and Little Galloo and Calf Islands. Reef Runners in
black-silver, copper, blue-silver and Fire Tiger colors worked best in 30-70 feet of water, Some of the best places
for bass fishing have been the high rocks, Stony Island, Calf spit, Chaumont Bay, Black River and Gull Island, as well as
near the gas buoy. Perch fishing remains strong off Association island, Gull Island, Bass Island, Cherry Island and
Paradise Park in Henderson Harbor, in 15-30 feet of water. Information provided in conjunction with Captain
