OK, I LiedBoth bass and salmon fishing remain so strong in Eastern Lake Ontario, I needed to add at least one more post.
Henderson
Harbor is hosting the Northeast Regional Tournament for the American Bass Anglers Association this coming Friday and Saturday.
Anglers have already begun to check in. I think they will be delighted with the bass fishing here. We've stocked
up on Storm lures that look and act remarkable like soft-shelled crabs, and should work very well in these waters.
Charters brought in lots of salmon again this past weekend in 80 - 90 feet of water.

Last Post of the SeasonWith Labor Day upon us, this will be our last fishing report for the season.
Salmon fishing was back with a
vengeance this weekend, with anglers whacking them out in the trench at 110-120 feet. Atomik Hammer flies were popular
and effective, as well as using herring bait with flashers and teasers.
Bass fishing also remained strong as it
has been much of the season. They still tend to be near the islands, especially Calf and Galloo, in 25 - 30 feet of
water. Most bass anglers prefer live bait such as minnows and crawdads.
Perch fishing this past weekned
was absolutely phenomenal--one angler brought in 142 perch to be cleaned at our fish cleaning station; another
brought in sixty-two. You'll find perch pretty much anywhere in the bay.
We only saw a couple of walleye
brought in. Reef Runner Fire Tiger and Green Perch lures are favored for walleye fishing around here.
Finally,
we're on the LOC tournament leaderboard a couple of times for trophy lakers.
September 13-15, Henderson Harbor
is hosting the regional American Bass Anglers Association tournament. Our guess is that the contestants will not be
disappointed.
Have a wonderful autumn and winter season. We have lodging available until the end of October
if you would like to come up for a visit. Otherwise, we'll see you next year.
