Walleye Up, Salmon DownSeems this was a difficult weekend for many (but not all) salmon anglers. We expect that to turn around this week.
In the meantime, those fishing for bass and walleye were delighted. Nice walleye caught off Calf Island, and bass
at about 30 feet off a number of nearby islands. SThe charters brought in large lake trout all weekend, and perch
fishing continues to be plentiful in the bay. The week got off to a windy start this morning, but the immediate forecast
looks good.

Mixed ResultsSaw a good deal of chinook salmon over the weekend, and not as many kings. Some bass anglers came up empty while others
hit limits--25-30 feet of water, near the islands, with live bait and either reef Runner's "Bare Naked" or Cotton
Cordell lures in greens and oranges. They're continuing to hit some walleye over around Calf Island.
